Former Tamil Nadu minister K.T. Rajendrabhalaji has once again sparked political debate by stating that the real political contest in the state continues to be only between the AIADMK and the DMK, dismissing the growing attention around newly formed political parties.

Speaking at a public gathering, Rajendrabhalaji said that Tamil Nadu’s political history clearly shows a long-standing two-party dominance. According to him, despite the emergence of new political outfits and increasing media coverage, the electorate ultimately chooses between AIADMK and DMK during elections.

Criticism of Vijay’s TVK

Rajendrabhalaji also took a sharp dig at actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), stating that popularity in cinema does not automatically translate into political success. He stressed that political credibility is built through years of grassroots work, organisational strength, and governance experience, not star power alone.

He further remarked that new parties may attract short-term attention but lack the structure and depth required to challenge established political forces in the state.

Known Ajith Kumar Supporter

Rajendrabhala ji is also widely known as a strong supporter of actor Ajith Kumar, a fact that often places him in the spotlight. He has repeatedly maintained that cinema fandom should not be used as a tool for political gain and that public trust must be earned through service.

Controversial Statements a Pattern

Political observers note that Rajendrabhalaji is no stranger to controversy. His bold and often provocative statements have frequently triggered reactions across party lines and on social media. While supporters see him as outspoken and fearless, critics argue that his remarks are deliberately controversial.

Political Temperature Rises

His latest comments come at a time when Tamil Nadu’s political environment is heating up ahead of upcoming elections. With new parties attempting to gain space, Rajendrabhalaji’s remarks have once again reinforced the dominance of AIADMK and DMK in the state’s political narrative.
