The Tamil Nadu government has allocated ₹14 crore 12 lakh and 50 thousand for Hajj pilgrims this year.

The Tamil Nadu government has allocated ₹14.125 crore (₹14 crore 12 lakh and 50 thousand) for Hajj pilgrims this year.

Out of those undertaking the pilgrimage, 5,650 individuals have been selected to receive a subsidy of ₹25,000 each.

The distribution of this year’s Hajj subsidy was officially launched yesterday at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat, where Chief Minister M.K. Stalin personally handed over the aid to 10 beneficiaries, marking the start of the scheme.
