Actress Hansika Motwani and businessman Sohael Khaturiya have officially ended their marriage after the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai granted them a divorce by mutual consent. The development brings closure to months of speculation surrounding their relationship.

According to court records and media reports, the couple decided to part ways amicably after acknowledging that their marriage had “irretrievably broken down.” Motwani had filed a petition seeking separation, and Khaturiya later submitted an affidavit consenting to the divorce, allowing the court to finalise the proceedings.

Notably, the actress chose not to claim any alimony, maintenance as part of the settlement. Her legal representative clarified that Motwani’s intention was simply to bring a “dignified and peaceful closure” to the relationship rather than pursue financial claims.

Hansika and Khaturiya had married in December 2022 in a grand ceremony at Mundota Fort in Jaipur, an event that later became the subject of a reality series documenting their wedding celebrations. However, reports indicate the couple had been living separately since mid-2024, with growing differences in temperament, lifestyle and outlook eventually leading to the mutual decision to separate.

Neither Hansika nor Khaturiya has issued an official public statement on the divorce so far. However, observers noted earlier signs of a possible split when the actress removed several wedding photographs from her social media accounts and the couple reportedly unfollowed each other online.

Hansika Motwani, who began her career as a child artist in television and Hindi cinema before becoming a leading star in Tamil and Telugu films, continues to remain active in the South Indian film industry.

The divorce marks the end of a high-profile marriage that had drawn significant attention both during the couple’s lavish wedding and in the months leading up to the separation. Industry watchers say Motwani is expected to focus on upcoming film commitments and new projects in the coming months.
