Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on April 11 intensified his election campaign in Pudukkottai, expressing strong confidence that the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance would secure a sweeping victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. Addressing public meetings, he said the scale of public response and turnout at campaign events indicated that the alliance could win all 234 constituencies in the state.
During an interaction with reporters after his campaign in Pudukkottai, when asked about the political entry of Vijay, Stalin responded, “Whoever comes, it does not concern us; we are focused on our work.”
Stalin also stated that the alliance remained confident of forming the government again, asserting that “no matter how many parties come together against us, they cannot defeat us.” He reiterated that the alliance’s campaign was progressing with strong public support across constituencies.
Referring to the political contest, Stalin repeated his “Tamil Nadu versus Delhi” narrative and accused the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam of being aligned with national forces. He said the party had become “subservient” and described the election as a larger political struggle.
He further stated that the DMK-led alliance was united and prepared for the electoral contest across all constituencies.
The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on April 23, with counting of votes scheduled for May 4, covering all 234 constituencies across the state.
