A joyous moment turned tragic in Bengaluru as 11 people lost their lives during the RCB victory celebration.
After Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the IPL trophy for the first time in 18 years, the team returned to the city, where the Karnataka government had planned a grand felicitation ceremony at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
However, due to poor crowd management and lack of proper arrangements, the massive turnout led to chaotic scenes and a deadly stampede-like situation, resulting in 11 deaths.
What was meant to be a celebration has now left the entire city and cricket community in deep shock and mourning.
