A fresh controversy has erupted involving Savukku Shankar, AIADMK IT Wing, and its state secretary Rajsathyan.
Recently, Gaurishankar, an AIADMK IT wing functionary and close aide of Rajsathyan, leaked Savukku Shankar’s personal photos, which Savukku Shankar condemned on his X (Twitter) handle, questioning the IT wing’s priorities.
What’s behind the clash?
Insiders say certain ideas suggested by Savukku Shankar are being directly approved by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) — bypassing Rajsathyan, the state IT Wing chief. This has reportedly hurt Rajsathyan’s authority.
Adding to this, Rajsathyan was hoping to secure one of AIADMK’s two recent Rajya Sabha seats, but was denied. Disappointed, he vented this frustration to close associates.
Sources claim that to retaliate, Rajsathyan allegedly used his loyalist Gaurishankar to leak Savukku Shankar’s private photos.
What AIADMK insiders reveal:
- There is huge dissatisfaction with how the IT wing is run.
- Many efficient district-level admins were denied posts, while undeserving ones were appointed through backdoor recommendations.
- Party members complain that Rajsathyan is unreachable, ignoring calls even from key functionaries.
Interestingly, in this cold war, most grassroots AIADMK workers seem to side with Savukku Shankar — showing how much resentment Rajsathyan has created within party circles.
This episode exposes the internal power struggles and frustrations simmering inside the AIADMK’s digital operations at a crucial political time
