According to the latest market data, the price of 24-carat gold in Chennai increased to Rs 16,494 per gram on March 11, up from Rs 16,418 per gram recorded on March 10. This marks an increase of Rs 76 per gram in a single day. For 8 grams of 24-carat gold, the price rose to Rs 1,31,952 from Rs 1,31,344, registering a gain of Rs 608.
Standard 22-carat gold also witnessed an upward movement. The price rose to Rs 15,120 per gram on March 11 from Rs 15,050 per gram the previous day, reflecting an increase of Rs 70 per gram. For 8 grams, the rate climbed to Rs 1,20,960 compared with Rs 1,20,400 on March 10, marking a rise of Rs 560.
Silver Prices Remain Unchanged
Silver prices in Chennai remained unchanged on March 11. The rate for silver stood at Rs 300 per gram, the same as the previous day. Similarly, the price of ready silver (1 kilogram) remained steady at Rs 3,00,000.
Gold Prices in Major Indian Cities
Across India, gold prices showed only minor variations among major metropolitan markets on March 11. In cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, the price of 24-carat gold was reported at around Rs 1,63,310 per 10 grams. In Delhi, gold prices were reported at around Rs 1,63,460 per 10 grams.
