Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has publicly apologised to cricket legends MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev following repeated controversial remarks made by his father, Yograj Singh, over the years.

In a recent interaction, Yuvraj Singh expressed regret over the situation and said, “I would like to apologise to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni.” He acknowledged that the comments made by his father had caused discomfort and reiterated that such statements were not appropriate.

Yuvraj Singh also made it clear that he has addressed the issue personally within his family. He said, “I have told dad that it’s not ok.” The former cricketer emphasised that he does not support the repeated targeting of Dhoni and Kapil Dev.

Yograj Singh, a former cricketer, has frequently made headlines for his strong criticism of MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev. Over the years, he has accused Dhoni of playing a role in Yuvraj’s exclusion from the Indian team.

Responding to these long-standing controversies, Yuvraj revealed that he had spoken to his father and conveyed that such remarks were unacceptable. He indicated that he had tried to stop his father from making such statements and distanced himself from those views.

The issue stems from Yograj Singh’s repeated claims over the years, including allegations that MS Dhoni was responsible for his son being dropped from the Indian team and criticism directed at Kapil Dev regarding his own career. These remarks have often sparked debates within the cricketing community.

Yuvraj Singh, who played a key role in India’s 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup victories, had largely remained silent on the matter until now. His latest statement marks the first time he has publicly addressed and apologised for the controversy surrounding his father’s comments.
