Water Bell Alert for Students in TN

waterbell scheme

The Water Bell scheme will be implemented from tomorrow in all government and government-aided schools across Tamil Nadu.

This initiative has been introduced with the aim of improving hydration levels among school children.

Under this scheme, a bell will ring three times a day — at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM — during which a 5-minute break will be given, and students are required to drink water during this time.

As a pilot project, the scheme was already implemented over the past few days in government schools in Coimbatore and Ramanathapuram districts. Starting tomorrow, it will be expanded across the entire state of Tamil Nadu.

On behalf of the South News, we request the Tamil Nadu government to extend this scheme to private schools as well.
